| Steel Sucker Rod Selection Guide (by grade) |
| Grade C: Designed for light-to-medium loads in shallow-to-medium depth wells and non-corrosive or effectively inhibited corrosive well fluids. Grade K: light-to-medium loads in shallow-to-medium depth wells where corrosion is a problem and must be effectively inhibited. Grade D: heavy rod loads or deep wells in mild-to-medium corrosive well fluids that are effectively inhibited against corrosion. Grade KD: medium-heavy rod loads or deep wells in corrosive well fluids that are effectively inhibited against corrosion. Grade HL and HY: Designed for heavy-extra heavy loads at any depth in corrosive fluids that are effectively inhibited against corrosion. Grade KH: Designed for extra heavy loads at any depth and fluids that are effectively inhibited against corrosion. |
